The location is super convenient with a restaurant and gas stations nearby. Room had air conditioning, a flat-screen TV, and a microwave. Loved the breakfast options like waffles, pancakes, and boiled eggs. Staff was really friendly and helpful. There’s a hot tub and fitness center too. Safe area for solo travelers.

Check-in was smooth, but I noticed the hotel’s age showing more than before. The pool was disappointingly cold, despite it being advertised as heated, and the breakfast had limited options—bread and cold cereal were the mainstays. The bed could use an upgrade; it felt worn out, making for an uncomfortable night. On the bright side, the location is convenient, and the morning coffee was a nice touch. the loud bathroom fan and distractions from nearby doors made it hard to unwind. I’ve seen better, but it’s still a decent pit stop on my travels.

Truly exceptional place, very informative staff that came for night shift. Easy and nice setting in the fairly quiet area, really close to the desert, airport and the Statue of Liberty holding the Route 66 logo.

The room was super tidy and just what I needed for a restful night! I loved having the pool all to ourselves for a refreshing dip. Plus, the friendly staff and 24/7 beverage access made our stay so enjoyable!

Solo travelers will find it clean

The room cleanliness was impeccable, I felt like I was walking into a sterile lab. The front desk staff was friendly, they greeted me with warmth, like I was family.

It wasn't inexpensive, but still reasonable enough for what you get.

Nicely updated and beautifully maintained room for what we needed with refrigerator and good water pressure plus the TV worked fine. And the facilities were clean.

Comfortable beds, cozy ambiance with the window nook allowing for lovely bird sounds made my stay enjoyable, despite a few minor inconveniences.

Desert Inn Tucumcari offers a tidy and spacious environment, perfect for a quick overnight stay. The staff is genuinely accommodating, and the location is nice, with nearby fast food options. be prepared for no elevator and limited breakfast selections.

Neatroom with hairdryer, good water pressure & hot water and refrigerator as advertised. Hot breakfasts with "scrambled " eggs. Comfy and reasonable location in Tucumcari, near to restaurants, and airport.

Great for a quick overnight stop. The room was exceptionally clean, and the bed was comfortable, allowing for a restful night after long travels. The staff, particularly Twyla, was friendly and provided helpful information about the property and current restrictions, enhancing our check-in experience. the room was quite small, which may not suit larger groups, and there were some noise concerns, as sounds easily traveled from adjacent rooms. the lack of an elevator could be inconvenient for those on higher floors. This location is perfect for a short stay for travelers seeking simplicity.

Stroll to Tasty Eats and Historical Highlights in Tucumcari

This hotel is perfectly situated for weekend strolls, with a ton of restaurants just steps away like Taco Bell and Subway, making it super convenient for quick bites before exploring the rich history of Tucumcari, including the Route 66 Monument and the nearby museums, all within a 3 km walk; the rooms themselves are cozy and very clean, though I did notice the furnishings could use a bit more updating.

Neat theme with friendly staff. Postcard service is a nice touch. Room size is smaller than expected, but cleanliness made up for it. Lighting needs improvement—fluorescent bulbs cheapen the ambiance. Reception and breakfast areas are comfortable, and the refurbishment is commendable. Good value, but the carpets smell. Consider switching to easier-to-clean flooring. An elevator would assist tired travelers. The fitness room lacks basic amenities, making it misleading. Breakfast options are limited and lack appeal. Pool was advertised as heated but was freezing. Beds are adequate but not plush. Minor issues don’t overshadow the potential of this place. It’s a decent stopover, but focus on these improvements for a better guest experience.
